Learn more about Masonry. The California Grand Lodge even has its own web site.
I am a proud alumna of San Diego State University.

Here is a picture of my husband Gordon. Gordon was humbug about Christmas, but became happier when he saw what the boys and Laurea had gotten for him. And here is a picture from my high school junior prom.

My eldest son Darrell is Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Storage Systems Research Center in the Jack Baskin School of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He and his wife Mary have two sons, William and John.

My two younger sons, Dean and Fred. Dean has yet to set up a web page. Dean is working for Sun Microsystems, where he is a Senior Staff Engineer, on the Java programming language and associated projects. Fred is working for Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in San Diego, where he does research in Bioinformatics.

My daughter Laurea earned her B.A. in mathematics from the University of California, San Diego and her M.A. (also in mathematics) from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She now teaches mathematics at Harold Washington College in Chicago.

Here are some embarrassing pictures of my children. The first is of my father William E. Williams in 1969 with Darrell, Dean and Fred. Here is Darrell when he was five, and visiting the Jersey Lilly with his grandfather. Here is Darrell's first dog, Dusty. Here are Dean and Fred in one of their first pictures and one of them in their crib, and riding tricycles. And here is Laurea with her friend Angie (Laurea is on the left).

Noah and the Ark

When the Ark had come to rest on Mt. Ararat, Noah said to the animals, ``Go then forth, all ye creatures, and multiply.'' All the animals went forth, except for two snakes. Noah said to the snakes, ``Did I not command you in the name of the Lord to go forth and multiply? Why then have you not obeyed?''

The snakes replied, ``Behold, we are adders, and cannot multiply.''

Pause for substantial quantities of groaning at such an old chestnut.

Then Noah sent forth his sons from the Ark, bidding them to seek and hew a mighty tree. The sons of Noah returned, bearing with them the trunk of a great tree. Then did Noah bid his sons to hew the tree into pieces, and make therefrom a great table of wood.

Noah then said unto the snakes, ``Behold where my sons have made for you a table of logs, wherewith you now can multiply, being adders!''
